1. About this notice

This website is operated by G Stacey Joinery Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. The site is a brochure for our joinery services — you cannot place orders, sign up, or submit forms through it.

If you have any questions about how we handle personal data, please contact us using the details on our contact page.

2. What this website itself collects

Browsing our website does not require you to provide any personal information. We do not run analytics, advertising, or social media tracking on this site.

The only data this site itself processes is:

  • Server logs — our hosting provider keeps short-lived logs of IP addresses, request URLs, and timestamps for security and troubleshooting. These are typically rotated within 30 days.

  • Strictly necessary cookies — see our Cookie Policy for the short list.

3. If you contact us

If you choose to contact us by phone using the number shown on our contact page, we may make a note of your name, contact details and what you have asked us about, so that we can respond to your enquiry. This activity happens off-website — nothing is captured by the website itself.

Our lawful bases for processing that information are:

  • Legitimate interests — responding to your enquiry and providing quotes.

  • Contract — if you become a customer, to carry out the work you have asked us to do.

  • Legal obligation — for example, keeping invoices for the period HMRC requires.

4. How long we keep information

  • Enquiry notes that do not lead to a project: up to 12 months, then deleted.

  • Customer records and invoices: at least 6 years, in line with HMRC requirements.

  • Server logs: typically rotated within 30 days by our hosting provider.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal data. We only share it with:

  • Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our behalf.

  • Our accountants and other professional advisers, where required for tax and bookkeeping.

  • Regulators or law enforcement, where we are legally required to do so.

6. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of personal data we hold about you.

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data, or to delete data we no longer need.

  • Ask us to restrict or object to our processing of your data.

  • Where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our contact page. We will respond within one month.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

8. Third-party content

Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, Google receives your IP address. We do not control how Google processes that data. See Google's privacy notice for details.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
